IS the academic update during the cycle obligatory or optional?

Also is it an option to just update certain courses? Like I am taking a class through another school over the summer, could I send the transcript for that class only?

Many applicants apply before finishing their undergrad or science pre-reqs. The purpose of the update is to show each respective school you've completed your coursework and meet all requirements for matriculation.

Whether your specific summer course is applicable or not is a question for the AADSAS or respective schools. Consult them for more info.

I'd think you'd want to send transcripts for any additional classes you've completed since submitting. It seems doing so would only serve to benefit you.
