I've recently been accepted to the 1-year biomedical science program at Barry Univeristy and would like to know if it is a legitimate program or not (in terms of getting into US allopathic medical schools). I spoke to the program director over the phone and, according to him, 64 out of 71 students who applied got into medical or dental school last year. Obviously, these statistics are really encouraging. However, I've come across messages that have been posted on old threads saying that the program is virtually unheard of outside of Florida and that many of the students who graduate from the program end up going to Carribean medical schools or DO schools in the area. This might explain the numbers but calls into question their legitimacy and integrity. If anyone has any information or opinions they can share about this school, its reputation, or anthing else, I would greatly appreciate it.

All the best,
