I've heard conflicting information about this, so here goes: is the DAT an adaptive exam?
Adaptive:
You get only one question at a time,
Once you've answered, you can never go back to change your answer,
The next question's difficulty is determined by how you answered,
The first questions given to you count the most toward your score.
The GRE is like this (and it SUX!!).
Not Adaptive:
You can go back and forth marking answers at your discretion or skipping questions/sections to come back later,
You can leave the most difficult for last if you want,
You'd get the same group of questions regardless of how you answer them.
I was hoping the DAT was like this, but I heard from a Kaplan rep the other day that it wasn't, so I wanted to check with you guys, esp. those who just took the test this past year (hoping you're still checking out this forum).
When responding, please remember to say when you took the exam.
Thanks y'all!
