Hi there.

I'm a applicant for Carms. However, I didn't get any IV now.

I passed EE and QE1 preparing CE1.
Also, I got ECFMG certi. I had a rotation in IM U of T with Canadian attending LoR. And I am a fresh graduate.

So, how can I do now for getting interview?
Or, for next year, what is the best way to get even one IV?

Please give me an advice.

Thanks in advance.

You need to improve your english if you posting is any indication of your language skills. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but it is the truth.

Ryan Lee,

What field did you submit your CaRMS applications for?
Also where did you graduate from?
Was the curriculum in English?
Your MCCEE/MCCQE1 scores....competitive or just bare passes?
What kind of LORs did you have? Were they positively selling you as the best thing since sliced bread?

Your best bet would be to contact Program Directors and sell yourself (however very late in the game now--would have been better to do this a month ago!)

In the meantime yes, you should get your provincial assessment done and also try to get some continuing clinical experience--even if it means going to another country like the USA, UK, Australia, Ireland etc.

If you cannot get Canadian experience (hard to get without holding an educational license) then the next best thing is the other Tier 1 countries listed above.
Now if you scored 99th percentile on all of your exams, and got LORs saying you are on the verge of winning a Nobel Prize then my advice is moot.

thank you.

MCCEE, QE1 my score
EE is good, however, I think QE1 score is just over passing criteria.

My strong points are very fresh graduate and I had one month clinical rotation in U of T. In addition to that, I got strong LoRs from canadian attendings.

At this moment, I think and know it's too late to sell myself now.

Yes, I'm trying to give provincial assessment exam, esp in Ontario.
Now, I am accepted to my country residency, actually, I think this year is hard for me. So, I have to continue my career as much as I can.

AS you said, I really want more canadian clinical experience, however, at this moment, it is so hard.

So, the best thing is that I have to pass assessment exam.

I have another question.
Is there any process like scramble of ERAS?

Please let me know.

Thank you in advance
