remembered how to do all of the questions?

I went over them twice and I tried hard NOT to memorize anything and learned the concepts but every time I see the problem, I knew how to do them without even thinking lol.

Should I move on to the next section of the DAT? (I did destroyer twice and chad's 3-4 times for gen chem).

Do that for bio section for sure, and for gc and oc learning the concept is far more important. If you know the roadmap from destroyer, then I think you're well off for the reactions except some few odd rxns like michaels.

Do you think orgo was mostly memorization on the dat?

is michael rxn in destroyer? i dont think it is nor do i remember it from Romanos class..idk?...but i saw it come up along with "robinson annulation" or something like that which i never saw either....so do we need michael for the DAT?

I believe so. I didn't have it on my test but I heard there are those random reactions on the test, like claisen, malonic ester (it was from ADA sample OAT test as well), or michael addition which I think was from qvault, or robinson annulation which is from qvault as well. There are only number of them so I memorized them just in case. I think orgo is mostly understanding the material, I didn't have too many reactions if I remember correctly. I think it was like two or three multi step synthesis in my case. But I got 22 so I guess I don't have too much to say. But definitely understand your materials then you'll do very fine.

Yep, move on. Destroyer is overkill. If you can do it as you have explained, then you will do well. Good luck!

Dude your DAT scores are monstrous. I would be happy with a 20 AA lol

Organic on the real DAT was such a let down lol. I did chads + destroyer (~50%) and got a 22. It only took me about `15 min to blow through that section on the real DAT. I felt like I invested way to much time into it. The only questions that made me stop to think was 1 naming question and an EAS question. I dont know the ones that I missed; however, I dont think studying more would have improved my score.

My advice is to make sure you're solid on EAS (electrophilic aromatic sub) because the DAT writers like that stuff.

If you got destroyer down just keep maintaining it and work on weaknesses.

yeah im comfortable with the others mentioned, but not sure what Michael is nor Robinson Annulation bc Qvaults explanation was completely useless...i never heard anyone mention the Robinson Annulation one before either, but Michael sounds familiar so ill look into them...i think i may have heard it in Chads?

Michaels addition is in KBB

perfect, ill look into it there thanks
