I used both of those books for reference during ms3 and step2 studying. Pathoma is where I built my foundational knowledge for many diseases, and the notes I took in those margins are still gold (I just ignore all the step1 heavy science details). Like I remember referencing Pathoma for Paget disease of bone, nephritis, nephropathy, congenital heart disease, anemias, and several other topics during ms3. Great review of the underlying pathophysiology (which then allows you to easily understand the clinical features of the disease). So if you took good notes on Pathoma, hold on to it.
Also, FA for step1 is the most comprehensive and concise book you’ll ever see. No book for step2 comes close to covering that breadth of info. You definitely need to hold on to FA.
your step2 score is closely correlated with your step1 score. There’s just a ton of overlap in what’s tested.
