Is there anything in the material used in temporary fillings that would look fiberous? Like strands of hair?

It may sound like a stupid question but after getting a temp filling (which seemed to be very unsecure...as in bits falling out on the drive home), later
that night I was flossing and there was a lot of pressure there and a hugh
chunk of filling material came out.

I was shocked and looked at it and there were hairs embedded in it?

Yes, laugh if you want.

I cried.

I don't know what to do now.

A student who is well beyond that and working private sector when school is out did it in a teaching hospital.

Could there be more....?gulp?......

Is the beginnings of what feels like a sore throat a cause of concern.

What do I do?
What do I do?

I need alot more work done on my teeth and currently cannot afford it that is why I was going to a teaching school but I really don't know what to do other than post and ask or call a hospital maybe and see what they say.

please dont make fun....
i am seriously in quite a fragile emotional state about this and the state of my teeth (long story but I do take care of them).

thanks for any suggestions

The old school teaches that zinc oxide eugenol temporary cement can be reinforced with cotton fibers.

Its probably a material called Cav-it which is designed to break away if loaded. Regardless you are asking a blind question to persons on a student website. Go ask your dentist.
