My GPA (c3.56, s3.41) is on the low side and I am looking for allopathic schools that accept low stat applicants. However I'm also aware that most of these schools have specific missions that preclude most people from applying.

So which of the lower stat schools are okay for the average premed to apply to?

I actually do have the MSAR. I just thought that finding someone knowledgeable here who knows tthe answer off the top of their head might be better than looking through one by one especially since the MSAR sometimes doesn't say if a school is primary/rural care focused or URM focused or anything else like that.

Well after you make your initial list from your research with the MSAR you go to each schools website and read about the school, the focus etc. or go read school specific threads on here.

I'll make it easier for you. Check this list:

Rush
NYMC
Creighton
Albany
Rosy Franklin
Drexel
Temple
Loma Linda (but read their list of don'ts)
MCW
St. Louis U
Jefferson
Creighton
Tulane
Loyola
GWU
Georgetown
Tufts
U Miami
Wake Forest
EVMS
VCU
All new MD programs
Any DO program
Your state school(s).

lol Goro isn't this your default list of recommended schools from WAMC? Do you have it saved so you can cut and paste? 😛

OP, only you can determine if you fit the mission of the school, so you have to look at them yourself.

Actually, yes.

Well now I don't feel so special anymore. Thanks for nothing Goro

I'm new here, so correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't "low-stat allowpathic" an oxymoron?

He gave you a place to start the research that you were asking for.
Your "specialness" is less important.
