Is there such thing as "too many units" ..........do schools actually look at how many units a person actually took while fulfilling the prereqs.........does having too many units affect the chances of being admitted?

Lets be brutally honest, all a school really looks at is two numbers: GPA and MCAT. In my own experience, issues such as college major, difficulty of major, amount of courseload, etc are distant things after the GPA and MCAT.

so the amount of units taken is irrelevant in the admission process??

I have too many units.. I bring it up as an advantage to explain why it took me so long to finish my undergraduate work. I talk about how much humanities courses I took even though my major is serious science. No one will put you down for being educated.
