So I'm currently working as a research coordinator at a big pediatric hospital. One of my roles is to supervise and mentor medical students in their clinical research projects.

Would it look pretentious of me to include this on my app given that I'm a pre-med overseeing someone older, more experienced than me? Would something along the lines of "I am mentoring medical students as they navigate their research projects" be ok?

Not pretentious if you truly do it. Id say go for it but I'm not an adcom.

They're students. You're working as a professional. You SHOULD be mentoring them in proper research procedure.

I supervised residents and fellows (and the occasional novice PI) when I was a CRC, and the same logic applied.
