I had a very terrible GPA my first semester freshman year. I had 2.4, but now I have 3.23. I'm applying this summer, hopefully after this semester I will end up with 3.29 not sure if I can get it up to 3.3. My science GPA is about the same a little less.
I know applying to Dental schools have many other factors to it not just the GPA, but I just want to know how good is this improvement that I made after my first semester. I feel like it's not as impressive and I should have raised it much higher.
Any thoughts?

Upward trend and overall GPA of 3.3 isn't so bad. It's not amazing, but you're just around the average (~3.4.)

No sense worrying about what you can't change - just focus on getting the best grades possible now. If the rest of your application is good, it shouldn't hinder you.
