So, I was gifted a Litthman Classic II stethescope for graduation. Haven't figured out what is recommended by my school yet, but just wanted to drop by and see what what you all think? Thanks~!

Probably not what they're going to tell you to buy,... but it'll serve you just as well.

Yep, it'll work fine. As long as you can hear the heart, you're in good shape. It's not like you'll be able to do much more than that with the best steth out there anyway.

Free=good at this level where we are not going to be asked to diagnose anything.
Later in 3rd year, you can buy another one if you feel this one does not suit your needs.

Yeah it will do the job well. Don't worry about buying a new one. I've seen medicine residents with this stethoscope. It'll serve you well.
