Is this a nonclinical volunteering experience, or an academic/tutoring one?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Academic/tutoring. Still a nice activity and something you should take pride in, but it's clearly in a school/academic setting. You should make a conscious effort to get further outside your comfort zone and go to homeless shelters, food kitchens, etc

Mentoring is an academic expectation as is teaching or tutoring. After all, you succeeded so your advice is valuable to those trying to get into college. (Like how applicants revere current medical students.)
