I received an email from Colorado today stating the following:

Initial review of your application indicates that further review and reassessment will occur as the admission cycle progresses (approximately mid January-February, 2009). If we are able to give your application further consideration for a possible interview for the 2009 entering dental class, we will contact you at the appropriate time and request the necessary supplemental requirements. Please do not submit information unless requested.

So is this a rejection? 🙁

I do not think that I would take that as a rejection....yet. My guess is that if you get an interview, it will be post-December. As students accept or deny acceptances from schools, they will probably go back to applications like yours to re-review and offer more interviews to fill their class. Just a guess on my part. Can anybody else confirm? This whole admission process seems to be just like playing the lottery. You post your numbers and hope that somebody draws them.

yea, i got that e-mail too. it probably isn't the best vote of confidence. i'm assuming i won't get an interview there, and if i do, it'll be for a waitlist spot.

Only 2 out of the 16 listed in www.predents.com for Colorado were interviewed in February.

It says your application will be re-reviewed at a later time. Where did you get rejection from?

All it means is that at the current time your stats do not warrant an interview. In the future your stats may compare better to the applicant pool and you will be offered an interview.

There's no reason to speculate what it is. OP- Take it how it is. The email says you'll be reviewed again in January, so you prob wont get an interview invite until then. Good luck.
