Biology 483 - Biochemistry (4 credits)
Biology 430 - Anatomy & Physiology w/ lab (4 credits)
Physics 241 - Physics w/ lab (non-Calculus based) (4 credits)
Biology 301 - Infectious Diseases (3 credits)
Biology 494 - Microbiology Research (1 credit)

I put in over 6 hours of research a week.
I volunteer with community service only 2 hours a week.

Is this an average schedule for Juniors?

Nevermind, I just found this article: http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=833642

If you're willing to give up your social life I think this is fine. and I mean it. I refused to give up my social life during college, I think 13 science credits was my max for 1 semester and my life was miserable.

Thats a pretty rough schedule if you ask me. Have fun with it...

From what I have seen it may be a little more difficult than average (depends on the teachers I guess). Keep in mind that you will want to put a good amount of time into BIOCHEM, Anatomy, and Physiology because these classes will be the ones that really help you out in dental school. If you feel like you can learn the material in both of them and do well then go for it. Otherwise, I would think about splitting them up if at all possible.

I'm curious what a "typical" number of semester units is. If I did the math correctly, I'm taking 18 this semester and normally take 16 MAYBE 20 per semester.

your title on the threat mentions " difficuly" schedule, but then in your post you write if its an " average" junior schedule. Pick one, cause i think you know thats a tough schedule but for some reason you need some kind of affirmation?

I don't know what's "tough" anymore. I already study everyday.
