I've been invited to 6 interviews so far for Oct/Nov period. I'm re-scheduling all of them to December and one in January so that I can travel from California rather than Hawaii (except for one in California for Nov). I'm moving back to California in early December so traveling from Cali would be financially more reasonable not to mention easier. From Hawaii, I need to make at least one connection to anything east of AZ, if not 2 connections. They are all DO schools by the way.. my stats are,
AACOMAS GPA 3.36, science GPA 3.66, MCAT 31N (PS 13, VR 8, BS 10).

Am I taking a huge risk?

I don't think it's a big deal. If you're saving money for each interview if you wait until December that's really going to add up. You can put that money towards holding your seat. You do have 6 interviews after all.

i completely understand why you would be concerned about scheduling interviews later. Perhaps you could travel to your top choice/choices from hawaii, then the others from cali later? interviewing later does always risk decreasing your chances, but your stats are good so who knows!

good luck!!

You should be fine. Your numbers are pretty solid.

I understand your concern, but your stats are very solid ... and, despite all pre-med paranoia, you are making the more logical decision travel wise. Don't worry about it 👍

I wouldn't risk the seats getting filled up. But thats just me.

Thanks guys.
The traveling cost was getting out of hand. So, I rescheduled all of them to December. Why did I think this is risky? Well, I've heard that as time passes, the seats fill up and your chances of admission decreases. But, as many of you have voiced, perhaps my stat will carry me through.
Thanks a lot for your responses.

You're right, most schools go by rolling admissions. Your best chances for being accepted are greatest the earlier you interview.

Whoa, I found a $288 roundtrip fair from Hawaii to Chicago! I'm going to CCOM's interview in November. Else, I would have to wait until January!
