Is this a valid use of the "Other Impactful Experiences" essay?

For context, I had a low uGPA and did an SMP to improve my academic record. My response in this section is currently that I had to help my father with his business during COVID and be a teacher/tutor for my young siblings at home, and how juggling these responsibilities affected my ability to do well in undergrad. Is this an acceptable answer or would I be better off leaving it blank? I know that it's an essay people are supposed to use to explain their unique story; I'm sure there are others that have a similar one to mine but those are the real reasons why I didn't do well. I'd appreciate any thoughts or suggestions

You could write about how your participation in the SMP was impactful.

I would talk about how it was a turning point for me and a time where I developed my ability to adapt, which was absent during COVID. Do you think it would be worth keeping the preceding comments on what made the pandemic years difficult for me?
