I'm not sure whether or not I should study thermodynamics (stuff like closed system, open system, calorimetry, heat engines, conduction, convection, and all that physics stuff), would I be wasting my time. I figured that thermochemistry was more important for the DAT, and thermodynamics is not as important for DAT as it is for MCAT.

For those of you that have taken the DAT, is this true? Am I wasting time studying thermodynamics?

Thermodynamics and Thermochemistry- laws of thermodynamics, Hess’ law, spontaneity, enthalpies and entropies, and heat transfer

👍

I remember more about heat transfer from my physics class than chemisty! Has anyone ever encountered these types of problems on the real DAT?

Thanks again!
