I am coming from a nursing background and hoping to go to med school eventually.
Question about what counts as research.
In nursing school I did a project in a nursing home looking at infection control among the patient population and the best measures to take to reduce infections. Does this count as research?
I'm also involved in my unit's "evidence based practice research" team, where we look at different problems within the unit/hospital and implement changes based on current best evidence. For example, we're currently looking at implementing bedside carts instead of having one central location with all the supplies in it.
