Is this CS score possible?

Hi,
I got my step 2 CS result and unfortunately I failed in patient notes. I am confused as the only thing I was super confidant about this exam was my patient notes. I am under impression that it must be fault of the system. Moreover one of my friend got ZERO on data gathering, and still managed to pass with high performance on patient notes. Is it possible?? I mean how can we write patient notes when our data gathering is marked zero? I am attaching my friends score. Any inputs will be appreciated.

Also looks like your friend failed in the CIS portion too.


Possibly due to not asking enough Relevant question or asking a lot of irrelevant questions.

Also his professional manner is also on the low side.

So what i gather is: he didnt ask relevant questions & pissed off the SP followed by "making up" findings on his PN.

I think they must correlate what you asked and what you did to whats written on your PN.

Regardless, CS is a joke. A really sick joke.

the answer lies in your post itself. red-text sections indicate areas of english deficiency.

That's also seen on the score report itself.

Its weird, because I was expecting a freakin star on "English Proficiency", but didn't get it. My dreams of acing a single aspect of the USMLE have gone down the drain lol

My friend passed CIS component.. How can any1 fake findings in patient notes, with data gathering so poor that there are no bands even on low performance side???

That means he should ask the center to re-score it because maybe the SPs forgot to give him credits in the test. It's unfair.

Any thoughts on what might have gone wrong with the patient notes?

Tell us about your test center and when you gave exam? and did you have computer problems during exam? like freeezing computers

that's not his score report, it's his friend's.

fwiw, my friend who took CS earlier in the summer just got a letter from the NBME telling her that the computer system didn't save any of her or anybody else's notes that day, so they now need to re-take the exam. In your case, I could see how if test was saving your notes intermittently could save, say, only half of the notes you typed up.
For how much we pay, you'd think they can afford a decent computer and a reliable internet connection, right?

I know some people ,who gave exam in may in philadelphia.They had computer problem ,like computers freezing again and again for so many seconds.They reported to NBME but NBME failed them,telling that computer problem didnot affect their patient notes(which is a big lie).NBME is very unfair.Now some of them,including me want to go to justice for this computer problems.It not only affected patient notes but mentally affected whole exam.Where your friend gave exam? and when she got NBME reply.

Hey I am facing the same problem as urs. I gave my exam in april at Chicago. So how are u planning to get justice ??

Guy you should just sue NBME.I know one case ,where NBME was sued by many students together for such problem and at last NBME had to reverse the results :laugh: .

Even I am thinking about it. Many students who took CS n Philly have failed. It cannot be a sheer coincidence.
