Looking forward to take the DAT sometime late June and possiblely Early July. Just wondering if this is enough and good study material......The Kaplan DAT book, Shaums Bio Outlines, Shaums Chem or Org Outlines, Shaums Physics Outline, and the Examkrackers 1001 questions....

does anyone know the difference between the individual Shaums Chem Outline and Shaums Organic, Chem and Bio Chemistry Outline. Is the later better review for the DATS?

anyway......i should have two months to study and i have already taken the MCATS...

any inputs....please chime in...

thanks

i know that there are alot of study book threads going around...but there so many that it kind of gets confusing going over them....so thought i would start another one....

Kaplan book is great. i also like barron's for the perceptual abiltiy section. i don't know anything about the schaum's outlines because i've never used them.

other then that, sounds like you've got a lot of good stuff...just you don't need physics because that's not on the dat.

good luck!

yeah... dump the physics book. other then that, you should be fine.

just make sure you take some practice tests.

Schaum's Bio is excellent. I thought Kaplan was extremely lacking in the bio section and Schuam's filled in the gap nicely. I got the Chem/Ochem/Biochem Schaums as well, but THOUGHT I was getting the straight up Organic one. It was a good review for general chem and had some decent organic notes too.

totally forgot that physics not on there.....guess im still in MCAT mode....anyway...the chem/ochem/biochem does a good job to review for the DAT....and anyone know where i can get just get pure DAT practice tests from?

Looked around for books that just had tests.....but couldn't find any....

and if i get the Kaplan DAT 2nd edition....will that really matter since there is already a 4th edition out....are they both drastically different?

thanks

just get the Kaplan dat review book and topscore dat, you will be fine. if you have time, you can try 1001 examkrackers.

You mentioned that you had taken the MCAT already? If so, then the preparation for the DAT won't be as bad. My cousin was in the same shoe. He took the DAT and did well on everything but the PAT.
