Let's just say that I don't currently have any credit history. If this persists...Will I have to get a co-signer for private loans so I can pay for dental school?

Is this how you all pay for dental school too?

cofo,

you are worrying way too much about something that does not even effect(a or e lol) your education. You are also forgetting that you are in a land of equal opportunity and trust me they will give you loans for education and also little more so that you can pay your bills, rent, etc...

You biggest worry should be getting into dental school not about loans. Loans will be there...

yea you should worry about getting into dental school first.
That's the hardest thing to do.
You won't need to worry about loans if you don't get in...

Just to clear your mind, no, you don't need a co-signer for private loans, but if you have one you can most often get a better rate.

Cool, thanks for the unrelated tip... :eyebrow:

Anyway, I'm wanting to know if I'll have to get my parents to co-sign my dental school loans because my father wants to know. (and I do too actually).
I might be transferring to a different undergrad, and my father is very uptight about co-signing a private student loan for me. If I tell him that I'll need him to co-sign for my dental school loans, then I can passively tell him "You might as well as co-sign for my undergrad."
