I'm a junior with a 3.6, I'm taking the MCAT in a month (I suspect somewhere between a 30-35 based on the practice tests I have been taking) I played soccer for my school, am currently doing research, and worked as a scribe in an ED amongst other things.I'm a Texas resident and went to undergrad in NYC. Here is my list. I just wanted to see if everyone thought it was realistic.

1. Baylor
2. Texas A&M
3. UT Southwestern
4. UT San Antonio
5. UT Houston
6. UT Galveston
7. UNT OD program
8. Texas Tech in Lubbock
9. Texas Tech in El Paso
10. New York University
11. Vanderbilt University
12. New York Downstate

I know most people apply to more, and I was going to say 15. Any suggestions for the last three?

Same number I applied to, with a slightly higher GPA. Make sure you're not calling UNT an OD school, one transposed letter makes a big difference! If you're ECs are good, and you end up above 30, your Texas chances are pretty decent. If below 30, you'll probably need to expand your list.

Penn State
Case Western
OHSU

The beauty of being a texas resident is that there is such a broad range of schools that if you end up only applying to them that you will have a great chance of getting in somewhere.

Thanks guys! And yes, I know its a DO program, I'm actually working there this summer in research! Just a typo!

Thanks so much, I really appreciate the replies!
