So i did some research, and i found that program that i wanted to do where you go into the hospital and play music. i actually did a search on volunteermatch.com and got a bunch of those kinds of oppurtunities. to me, this seems like an awesome oppurtunity, but would it count as clinical experience? i already have around 120 hours that i did over the summer at a hospital, and i can go back there during my january break without going through the orientatiion again, but this seems so much more interesting to me, and i would like it more than the regular volunteer work. but would the medical schools frown upon this? would they see that i did the clinical only for a summer and than switched to do this music program at another hospital? i'm hoping that they don't think i'd be flaky for switching hospitals, but i really want to do this, but then i'd be afraid that it won't count as clinical work. any suggestions?
