I am going to buy this and read it over the summer to get a head start on bio I in the fall. I am taking orgo and bio together, so I want all the help I can get. Plus, I like the subject of biology and I can prepare for the DAT while I'm at it. I will be taking chem II over the summer as it is.

That is the right book, it is a very good source of information. However, it may be a little difficult if you haven't had exposure to biology yet. It is better for reviewing what you already know. If you really want a head start, you may be better off buying the textbook you will be using in the fall and reading that.

I may just do that. Btw, what is SMP? To avoid making a new thread.
