Is this too difficult

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Yeah. Nevermind the difficulty of the material. You'd be in labs constantly, and everyone would call you a geeky gunner behind your back. You don't need that. There's no rush, so spread the classes out.

It depends on if you're a fulltime student, or if you have to work part time.

If your not working I think you would fair well, given that you are a motivated student. I'm also assuming that you're not taking any other courses besides the three science ones mentioned.

I took First Semester O-Chem Lecture, 2nd Semester Physics, Cell Biology and Intro Psych one semester and did pretty well.

Just be prepared to have no social life (wasn't hard for me to do, I was already a book worm).

It can be done (I took Ochem I, Calc based Physics II, and Genetics in the same semester), but I wouldn't recommend it. If I had it to do over, I'd spread things out more.

I'm taking micro, anatomy and genetics this fall..........

I took my second class of o-chem, third class of calculus, bio, and Spanish in the same quarter and it was fine. It was a little stressful, but I pulled it off. I don't think your course list is terrible. Good luck!

No one will call you a gunner.

I took Organic I, Physics I, and Bio II at the same time, along with Sociology and being a TA plus bunches of extra-curriculars. Didn't do so hot that time around (77%) but I think that was more because of two long distance relationships that didn't work out. But that might just be me blaming it on that instead.

I retook it and made 104% in I and like 94% in II. Organic is all about memorization of concepts and electron transfer schemes and reactions and then being able to apply that rote data to different problems.

Somewhere on this board I have "Firebird's Top 10 List to get an A in Organic." I honestly think the list is a very valuable tool if you'll use them.

I'll be in a similar boat: org chem I, mechanics (phys I), and genetics, plus calc III (and fencing). If I had a choice, I'd space them out, but since I'm a B&MB major, I need all of these courses before I can take any upper-level major requirements.

I wish my school had a fencing class. It's probably my only opportunity to learn it. I just think it would be neat. Have you fenced before?

Yep. I'm on the team/club at my school (sabre). Its pretty fun.

I think you should ask yourself if you want your entire semester to be spent in the lab or reading science texts (as somebody already alluded to). You can do it, but do you want to do only science?

Cool. What school do you go to?

Being in college in the heart of West Virginian Appalachia kind of removes the opportunity to do things like fencing. I can see it now--Bubba and Cooter outside the trailer with a foil picking their teeth with it.

By the way, Douglas Adams--hilarious. The Hitchhiker's Guid to the Galaxy was really funny. Can't say much for Sagan, though, haha.

Sweet Briar College, located in the foothills of the Beautiful Virginian Blue Ridge Mtns.

West Virginia, Eh? What school are you at there? Please don't say Wesleyan...

.

Whats wrong with Sagan??? 🙁

if you can study all the time then it should be fine.. just depends on how much hard work you put in to it.

it's still nothing compared to med school courseload

yeah! I'm thinking of naming my kid Sagan, but everyone thinks I'm crazy. I think its a cool name. it'll either be that or Stone.

Definitely not Wesleyan. I'm at Marshall. It's a moderate sized school but we still don't have fencing. I would have thought that we would have it. Oh well. 🙁

I'm a Christian. No further explanation needed, haha.

Sagan would be a cool middle name.. (depending on the last name). He'd get teased too much if it was his first name.

You could always start one...

C'mon, now. Its good reading. If nothing else, reading it will only further solidify your faith.

Are you anti-harry potter, too?
