I was doing some trolling on other sites and read:
*NEED 2 LETTERS FROM SCIENCE PROFS, 1 NON-SCIENCE, AND 1 DENTIST*

Is it true that you NEED this or it can only help you.

Some times that's not even good enough. I called to check on my application at Tufts a few months after they said my application was complete and they told me that my application wasn't being considered yet because I used 2 chem professors and didn't include a bio professor. I had submitted them in a committee letter and their website said:
"Required Letters of Evaluation:

One letter from a Biology professor and;
One letter from a second science professor - Biochemistry, Chemistry, Math or Physics
Or

A pre-professional composite committee letter"

Since I satisfied the "or" I figured I was good, but I wasn't and they wouldn't have told me if I hadn't called. So be very careful.

I am taking Anatomy and Physiology but it is under the department of Kinesiology. Would they take a Anatomy/Physiology letter from the professor as a Biology one even though it is under "Kinesiology"?

All the schools are different. The easiest way to go is the committee letter, most schools will accept that instead of the variety of other school letters. Definitely get one from the dentist(s) that you shadowed.

Yeah both dentists said they will give me a recommendation, one is a professor at columbia dental school so will that count as a "science related" recommendation.
Also, did you guys "befriend" to the professor and then ask for the recmmendation or did you just go to him your junior year and say "im applying to dental school, I took your class in xxx year, I was wondering if you would right me a positive recommendation."

Idk about befriending, but I did keep contact with my professors who I wanted to write my letters

That's ridiculous! In the end, did they just take your money and not review your app? I thought a pre-committee letter satisfied pretty much all LOR requirements...wow
