is topscore and dat acheivers really harder than the real dat?

Just took a topscore test and the quantative reasoning section killed me. Are the math questions really as drawn out as in top score, because the kaplan test made me feel as though i knew most of the material....

getting worried now.....might have to push my test into August...

no... I have friends who took the DAT and they say that topscore QR is just a lot harder. my friend was scoring 23s on his QR but he got a perfect on the real thing. they say that bio and chem is a little easier on the real thing than topscore and Ochem is about the same. I take my DAT this saturday and Im taking DAT achiever practice tests right now and im definitly scoring a lot lower on these than my Topscore practice tests. Hope this reply helps. Good luck studying. I dont think you should push your test date back. I moved mine forward I didnt want to stress out constantly over it and I felt ready. Plus moving forward makes you feel a sense of urgency to motivate you to study.

i dunno man...i took the real deal got 21's on topscore qr 16 on the real thing ---i had an insane qr though
but who knows ...for sure gen chem and orgo are harder than topscore
i went up 1 point in bio 6 points in gen chem and 3 points in orgo from my first topscore
but down 1 point from topscore in reading --reading on the real deal is harder
hope this helps
oh yeah dat achiever is insanely hard from all angles cept for qr adn rc

I had both topscore and achiever. Always pulling average make me so worry. My real DAT is on Monday. Please share ur experience with us.

hey i have topscore and dat achiever as well. I take the DAT tommorrow so ill let you know afterwards what my thoughts were about the difference between the real DAT and the practice tests.

I just took the DAT on the 12th and used Kaplan and Topscore to prep. I thought the real thing was pretty similar to Topscore's PAT and reading comprehension. G Chem, O Chem and the QR were definately easier on the real thing. I was getting 19 TS, AA scores on topscore and got 22s on the DAT, so don't freak out too much. I was getting 17 or 16s in the QR and got a 19 on the Dat. Good luck.
