I'm thinking of applying to their 7 year bs/dds program. wondering about your opinions about the school. how does it compare to stony brook? if you live around there, how's the city?
thanks

I don't know about the city (other than it's a very cold city) but I do know U of Buffalo is a very good dental school!

Having gone through undergrad in upstate NY makes it difficult for me to get excited about studying/living there.

Better bring a coat. or seven. I hope you don't mind "walking in a winter wonderland" all year long. Great school though. and that price is unbeatable

If Buffalo is a good school, what are bad schools? (not saying Buffalo is bad, no sarcasm here)

Now, I agree that it can be cold in the winter, but saying it's a winter wonderland all year long is a bit far-fetched. The late spring through early fall as as nice as anywhere in the country. 80's and sunshine all summer surrounded by lakes makes Buffalo a really nice place to be. Winters can be long and cold, but that is perfect for studying!
