I've heard that there is no point in applying w/o a PhD as they won't consider anyone without an MD/PhD.

Can anyone confirm or refute this?

Thanks for saving me the money and time, stephew😉

Good friend of mine interviewed at Vandy last year and said fellow applicants were all MD/PhDs, with the exception of some MDs from Vanderbilt med school.
BTW does anyone know if they filled the new spot in Vanderbilt?

Interviews are December 10.

Vanderbilt is interested in producing physician-scientists. As such they are interested in either MD/PhDs or MDs with significant laboratory experience and achievements. If you do not fall into either of these groups I would not bother applying.
