I currently work for a group of physicians and I constantly see the issues they face every day such as not receiving reimbursement, insurance companies, high overhead, etc. I recently had a conversation with a surgeon and he said that he feels pressure to leave his practice just for the weekend. I have thought about the pros and cons of becoming a doc but with the issues they face today....I am starting to question the process. Can anyone relate?

In every field you had difficulties.

If you are going in to this profession for the right reasons, you can put up with or lobby against the negatives.

Most likely in the future, there will be caps for legal issues.
Insurance companies will be put in order.
Health care access to more and more people will be become a right.

On the other hand, physicians make a lot of money. There may as well be an adjustment for that.

If you're in it for the money, dentisty is the way to go. None of this b.s. we will face. It's friggun great for those guys (other than being in people's mouths all day) !!!!
