Hi, I have an interview coming up and was wondering if anyone could help me out with issues in physical therapy right now. Also how PPACA (Obamacare) is affecting PT. Thanks in advance! 🙂

1. Go to APTA's website
2. Research your state laws
3. AHA - no one knows. That itself is an issue.
4. Be confident, honest, know why you want PT, why that school and NO cliche rehearsed answers.

I can't look up a lot of the issues on APTA because I'm not a member

Well as far as current issues I'm going over the APTA Vision 2020 stuff. I have the NYU interview tomorrow. The school is too expensive for me but it is worth it to go to the interview for PT school interview experience. It will prepare me for the interview I have for the affordable PT school.

A patient needs to be treated (let's say diabetic foot wound). The patient has no insurance and can't afford the proper treatment. Your clinic that you work for is not pro bono. What do you do?? ;-) (don't we all hate these questions?? haha)

Ask yourself what other resources are available. Can you refer them to a provider that can cover these situations? What is the clinic policy? Go from there.
