I have an interview for PT school this friday and I've been researching about the issues in the field.

I found vision 2020, direct access, medicare cap.
are there more issues that i should educate myself about?

I would mention the large number of PTs graduating in the next few years. DPT programs are opening up left and right, and we could set ourselves up for an oversupply of therapists. PT could end up like nursing or Pharmacy; just take a look at the Pharmacy discussions on SDN.

At least you won't be repeating the same stuff that other interviewees will mention, because everybody pores over Vision 2020 for ideas on issues and concerns.

Could someone maybe link to a thread discussing the overabundance of pharmacists? I cant seem to find one

There was this thread recently:

http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=915903

Which began as a question about an NPR report that looked at the long term prospects of the pharmacy profession. The thread quickly turned into a shouting match about whether or not Mark Zuckerberg's wife is attractive. Kinda strange, but either way, the NPR report is here:

Though optometry seems to take the cake when it comes to students and young doctors being terrified about long term job prospects (and angry about whatever misrepresentations they may have gotten along the way).
