I'm new here so sorry if this is the wrong place to post. But i think this was the best spot i could find.
So my problem is i am 21(in september) and am living in Seattle WA. I was raised in the Fiji islands born in california. My parents no longer talk with me nor will they help with my medical issues. I currently work 80hrs a week just to make ends meet and pay for rent food and my 20$ prepaid phone. It is hard enough with the economy the way things are let alone having medical issues. I have been wanting to go to a dentist for the past two years but am unable to afford it/am scared to go to find out what the cost will be for everything i need done.
A bit about myself. I am 21 years old, male. I had braces for 1.5 years. My dentist was not an orthodontist and i was his first person to put braces on...He did a terrible job(in my mind). I now have an issue where my right side of my jaw clicks when i open and close it(TMJ maybe?). I was never given any retainer after the braces were taken off(i asked for it multiple times and he took impressions multiple times). He did put a metal wire on the inside of my teeth on the lower set. The upper set of teeth are starting to move back into place(two front teeth are starting to curve over eachother). I do not have my wisdom teeth removed as i requested. Currently the left side both have fully come out and are in place fine(not crooked or anything). The right side on the other hand, the bottom one is starting to pop out(it hasnt moved in i think 3 years or so). The top has no sign of a tooth coming out.
I remember as achild when i would go to the dentist i was told i have a very cramped mouth and have very little space. I know before my adult teeth came out they pulled a few teeth to make room for other teeth. I also remember as a child i was told that my baby molars(atleast 1 of them) would never come out because it was pretty much an adult tooth.
I also noticed along time ago that the left tooth on the lower set of teeth(the two in the middle) is starting to have receding gum...only on that tooth though. No sign of any receding gum else where. I brought this up tot he dentist in fiji and he said not to owrry its nothing. That was the end of that. Today i was brushing my teeth and was flossing(i do it about once a week) and was looking at that tooth and realized i think that tooth gum line is starting to go farther down. It is starting to worry me quite a bit. And actually now that i think about the the two front teeth on the top(the left one) has a higher gum line then any other teeth(this has always been like htat from what i can remember)
And my last thing i have been worried about is below my teeth on the inside of my gums there is this bump. I always thought it was normal. If you look at the lower set of teeth and find the two middle ones and follow the right tooth down towards the root/gum you will feel/see this bump. I often thought it was just part of the root in the tooth but i have started to think its something i should worry about.
Anyways i bring all this up because i am concerned for my health and feel that i need answers. I can't afford spending 500$ to go to a dentist and have them just look at my teeth. I dont even have 500$ in my account. so i come here in need of advice. If i could i am very handy with growing plants and horticulture and also computer stuff. I'd trade services but unfortunately i haven't found someone that is willing to do that.
So i hope you all can help me out!
