Did everyone who applied to Maryland make sure to send them LOR from Bio/Chem professors specifically? I had Genetics (2 profs), research, and a private specialist. I am assuming I am the only jerk who didn't know this until now, which may be why I haven't heard a darn thing from Maryland when my GPA is a 3.6 and my DAT was a 19AA (certainly not the best, but strong enough for an interview I thought...or at least I hoped...). Did anyone get an interview without sending these specific LORs? I'd feel better knowing my stats were too low to get an interview rather than I was just too dumb to check the fine print!! Ah! Any word would be appreciated -

I used letters from chem and physics profs .. though it was all under a committee letter.

They gave me an interview invite b4 they received my letters.

i don't think anybody is behind the wheel at university of maryland. last week i got a letter stating that i hadn't fulfilled the requirement of 6 credits of english composition. i took 27 credits of courses that Hopkins designated as "writing intensive", wrote/defended my masters thesis and published my research in the medical journal Brain.

i understand they are overwhelmed with applications, but if they took the time to review my application, they would realize i know how to write
