It is ok to shuffle around interview dates?

As the interviews trickle in, and get scheduled for whatever dates they currently have available, is it ok to later reschedule and kinda shuffle em around to allow for a tour by region of sorts. (i.e. clump all the NYC interviews together, cali interviews together, etc). How possible is this to do, and is it allowable (i.e. not rude)?

Yeah...when I talked to UMich they told me that they understand that we may need to change dates to coincide with our other interviews. I doubt any program would have a problem with it.

Shuffling dates around is pretty common and programs know it. It just isn't feasible to fly back and forth across the country repeatedly when you have a chance to schedule them into geographic groupings.

it's pretty common. just don't change at the last minute and they'll probably be cool.
