but my letters are all from chem professors..
i took upper lv. physical biochemistry from one of them
would this be considered a letter from a bio professor..?
since she teaches biochem! :scared:

You should be okay, since biochemistry is still within the realm of biology.

I would call them and ask! On their website they list biochemistry as a possibility for a "second science" letter, after biology as a first science letter. So I am not sure if they will mind or not, given that Biochemistry can be offered through the Bio. department.

"1 Letter from a Biology professor

1 Letter from a second science, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Math or Physics
*Or a pre-professional composite committee letter

1 Letter from a general dentist providing proof of at least 30 hours of dental shadowing experience--please note this letter must include approximate number of hours."

Yes, I believe you do need a biology related LOR. I had the professor of my genetics course write me a recommendation.

I would call the admissions office and ask. They are very helpful. It's best to just go to the source if you're concerned. Best of luck.👍

Yeah i just sent them an email regarding this issue.
Although the professor works for chem department, her research is more bio-oriented and i'm also doing research in her lab.
Congrats on your acceptance to Tufts..!
man...I envy you..! Tufts is definitely my 1st choice 🙁
