ITA request timing

So I will be near NY in late Oct and Jan. (Jan school had no available oct dates) and was wondering if I sent ITA requests to schools, how should I approach it. I was thinking of asking for availability in Oct, but would that be too soon?

I will be in Cleveland in November coming from Washington state - is that ITA enough to just let all remaining Eastern schools know that I am ITA

Cleveland to Raleigh is $300 cheaper than Spokane to Raleigh. My wallet is in the area hahaha

Maybe you’ll get an II without the ITA email and can coordinate from there!

@Moko, if I won't be there until January, is it still a good idea to send ITAs? Or would it better to use that "update" for something like a research publication?

Edit: Is an ITA a "waste" of an update, or can I generally also submit an update later on in addition to an ITA?

Also, I feel you, after buying tickets to California from the east coast 3 times in one month. Grateful to be getting love from the CA schools, though.
