ITE scores and pain fellowship opportunities

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
From what I recall your step scores were significantly more impactful than ITE. Some programs didn't even ask for ITE. I'd focus on increasing your CA-2 ITE significantly to align better with your step scores and you should be fine

ITE scores really don't matter. Some will ask for them but that is in the rarity. I know people who had lower ITE scores and still matched. Your step scores are solid and will land you good interviews. Just work hard get good LOR and you should be good. For future ITES I recommend doing ACE questions with trulearn. They are really good questions made by the ABA.

ITE scores are surrogate markers of whether you're at risk of failing your boards. Accredited fellowships hate it when you don't get board certified as it dings their metrics.

Still, that one score is a tiny part of the review process. While it may gate you out of some fellowships, almost no one would care about an isolated low test score. If they ask, you were on a horrible ICU rotation, covering night call at 2 hospitals, and your pet died.
