I hope i'm not breaking any rules here, but i noticed that the pre-dental forums could use some livening up :D

I understand the seriousness of these forums, but i just thought maybe there should be some unseriousness in everyones lives sometimes.

So i decided to start a game, its pretty straightforward

^: use this to answer the question the above poster asked
    >: use this to type what you are thinking, or doing right now
v: use this to ask the next poster a question.

Ok so i will start

^: I have nothing to say since i'm the first poster :p

    >: I'm on summer break, and i'm so bored at work right now! Makes me want to go back to school

v: What do you do to relax?

    TIME OUT!

There was actually this exact same game stated within the last year on this forum, and it was shut down by a mod. I suggest you keep the theme of the game to dental related things in order to have the best shot at keeping this going.

    TIME IN!

v A Doctor, a lawyer, and an accountant walk into a job interview, and are all asked the same question (whats 2+2). The Doctor & Lawyer respond 4, and don't get the job. What does the account say that lands him the job?? (I know its off-topic, but heck, I couldnt think of anything else right now at this point in time). First one to answer wins..............

I couldn't let it go unanswered, so thanks to Google:

"The accountant looked around, to see who else could be listening, and
answered "what would you like it to be?"

    > The amalgamator is a cool name for a dental machine.
v After reading bio all day. I think Ford took the "powerstroke-diesel" name from the REAL "powerstroke" involving actin-myosin interactions. Isn't that kind of a paradox?? Without powerstroking actin-mysoin, life wouldnt exist....and workers wouldnt be able to build the "powerstroke ford'???? yeah i'm losing my mind:rolleyes:

    ^ Awesome!!!!!!
    > Same here, I wish I could be in dental school next week
V Here's another instrumentation question. This instrument has a cone shape at one end, and is used for smoothing amalgam fillings (in molars) to fit the anatomy? (hint: The dentist said its rarely used, and was not allowed to be used in school because they wanted you to carve the filling to fit the anatomy yourself)

^ I don't know, but as long as my lab has them, that's good enough for me. ;)

    > I'm too lazy to check right now, but I hope I'm not the guy who shut down the last one. This is fun & educational. :D

\/ What are you most looking forward to about being a dentist? My two favorite parts are the variety of patients I work with on any given day, and big bloody oral surgery cases. :hardy:
