Hi! Can someone please tell me more about UPenn's international rotations program for DMD students? I cannot find any information on it on their website.
Also, current UPenn students, what else can you tell me about UPenn (why should I choose UPenn over other schools) that I cannot find ont their website?

Well, I graduate from Penn a while ago so I am not sure if the information are all that accurate. But back then we could do our rotations at a foreign country if you wish. Penn may even reimburse part of your airfare. Basically you have to do about 6 weeks of rotation outside of Upenn. So you can do part of the 6 weeks at a foreign school. But you can stay in US if you wish. I did 3 weeks rotation in Taiwan for example.

I recently graduated from penn and the requirement has changed to only 4 weeks. They have a list of affiliated programs all over the country and world. You can find a program off the list, there are just a few more hoops to jump through to go there. Good luck

This sounds really cool... when do Penn dental students normally do this 4 week requirement? Where can I find more info about this?

Hey there,

I am currently a 4th yr at UPenn. We are required to do 4 weeks of externships and they can be in the U.S. or foreign. Most people try to do them on their month off in the summer. Half the class is off in July and half in August. I enjoy it here...I can't believe I am saying that about dental school. It's no walk in the park but most of the faculty are super nice and respectful. I think that's where we stand apart from many other schools.
