Hello once again you beautiful SOBs, long time no see. I have applied twice in the past (only going to be a 3x applicant to Wright St, Toledo. Those will be the only schools I'm 3x applicant at) in 2018 and 2020. The clinical experience, research and non-clinical volunteering are all new to this app and were not present on the others. The same goes for my post-bacc grades of a 4.0 over 26 credits. With that said lets get started. Stats listed are current as of the time of this writing.

State: Ohio
Ethnicity/Race: White

cGPA: 3.41
sGPA: 3.49

Masters (non-SMP) GPA: 3.56
Masters (non-SMP) sGPA: 3.81

Post-Bacc GPA: 4.0 (26 credits) I have not had lower than an A- in a science (grad or undergrad) class since 2018.

MCAT (2018): 503 128/123/125/127
MCAT (2020): 516 128/128/132/128

Clinical experience: 500 hours (all Volunteer work)

- Volunteer at Clinic for underserved (370 hours, November 2020 - Present). Tasks included taking patient chief complaint, vitals, history, performing HbA1c, teaching patients how to use a glucometer, etc.

- Hospice (80 hours, June 2021 - Present). Spent time as a direct companion with patients with terminal illnesses as well as their families when needed.

-ED volunteer (50 hours, June 2015 - Aug 2015).

Non-Clinical Volunteering: 200 hours

-Soup kitchen (100 hours, January 2022 - Present)
-Food pantry (50 hours, Aug 2020 - December 2020)
-Non-patient centered volunteering at my clinic (50 hours, November 2020 - Present). These days typically just include making reminder calls to patients regarding their appointments.

Shadowing: 50 hours

-Shadowed various specialties such as FM, Ortho, and IM.

Research: 2500 hours

-Grad student wet-lab research (September 2019 - December 2021). Obtained a Masters thesis in Immunology. My topic was monoclonal antibody research in mice. I had to generate my own experiments, perform, and defend them before my committee both publicly and privately.

Leadership: 200 hours

-SI Leader for O-Chem and Gen Chem (Aug 2017 - May 2018).

Wait so you’re only going to apply at 3 schools? If you want to be a doctor, I’d seriously consider expanding to other parts of the Midwest at least
