Hi folks! For all of you who plan to take the MCAT this year (test date after May) registration opens tomorrow (Feb 11th)!

The AAMC twitter feed says:

@PromeTeezus We apologize that we can't provide more info at this time. Reg will open in the AM eastern time & we'll update you once it does

Not sure if this means 12:00am or 9:00am.

Looking at the past threads it seems like its really unpredictable but hopefully we can use this thread to keep each other informed. Also, it seems the website has had a history of crashing so... yeah

I will be taking the test in Falls Church, Va. (Don't want to deal with parking in DC)

Nice idea to create this thread. It seems like we'll have to just wait until tomorrow although my hunch is that it will open earlier (around 9 AM EST) because that's when it opened in October when my roommate registered.

By the way, I was filling out all the personal info and I got to the tab that says "Use of Personal Info." I answered all the questions and clicked "Save and Continue" but I got this pop-up message saying "You must accept the terms and conditions in the General Consent section before continuing." I looked back and I had answered all the required fields.

Is anyone else getting this? My hunch is that because registration hasn't opened I can't continue on to the next section and hopefully the message won't show up tomorrow but I wasn't sure.

I think it's open now I had 1000 people ahead of me to register it says it is at its max capacity in users so you might wanna log in and get in line

Just like the everyone else said, I just checked and the new dates aren't up yet. I guess I'm gonna wake up early tomorrow (6am-ish Pacific) to try again.

Sorry to be clear I meant the ones that are supposed to come out 2/11 so the June-September test dates are NOT up as of now.

The line is arbitrary. Getting in takes about an hour (their time calculation is BS. Each minute they say you have left, it's really 6-8 minutes), then it's just waiting. Since the registration isn't even open yet, there's really no point.

Yeah basically. Doubt anyone (besides me) is willing to stay up for the next several hours refreshing the page every 20 minute so they can register when it opens up finally...

My friend already got kicked out. There's no way to get anything productively done without pain because of the constant refreshing.

Registration is just the ability to register. If it's open by the time you get to the page, of course you can register.

Im registering for 06/05. Also, the registration website is so dumb! They do this every few months and couldn't figure out a better way to do things than to keep people waiting on an imaginary line haha.

It's to prevent like all 5,000 of us register at the same time and kill the server...keeping the time a mystery prevents this :/

Also, to warn people, it kicks people off waaay before 20 minutes of idleness. I would refresh every 5 minutes.

Agree great thread idea. NOTE June-September registration is open NOW! October-Jan opens on Feb 13th.

So I waited until ... midnight and of course the new dates were not posted. I had already had the exam scheduled and wanted to change my date. So I had a BRIGHT IDEA.. Ohhh.. maybe I need to cancel this date to ... be able to pick a new one. So I did, and nothing. ANYWAY, i went to bed upset.. woke up this morning and finally the dates were showing.. so I scheduled my EXAM AGAIN.. losing 143$.. Ugh. RAGE. So, so much RAGE!

Good luck! I registered right before I went to work.... it was a very rushed morning but..my date has been scheduled!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK GOD.. TIME TO GRIND THIS OUT!
