I'm getting in-state tuition. Rather than paying 80K for out-of-state tuition, I will be paying a grand total of 50K for my pharmacy education thanks to my wife.

She's mighty cute and convincing, and she's also saved me 30 thousand dollars.

How shall I reward/thank her? Let keep it clean please.

I think the whole fear of a surplus thing just went away when I realized I can pay this all back even if things get really really really bad.

If I'm correct I believe if you're married to someone that is a resident of that state you don't belong to, you can qualify for in state tuition.

Your out of state tuition costs less than my in-state tuition. And I live in the midwest. And the rural midwest is cool except for the people. A lot of the people can be complete socially conservative Republican a-holes. But that's just my 2 cents.

This reminds me of a story I heard on the news while on vacation. A woman was charged $11 for her electricity for about 6 months only to find out that they were charging her fees and not for the actual electricity. On the 7th month she got a bill for about $400-$500 and she was outraged. She said "I wasn't charged for it all at once so I don't think I should have to pay it all at once". Unbelievable. If you can't pay it all at once then you didn't have the money to begin with OR you decided to waste it so some stupid coach purse spending spree because of a mistake or stroke of luck.

I'm willing to bet that most of the people in this thread are up to their eyeballs in debt and don't know the first thing about money management. But what do I know? I'm just an old man that doesn't owe a penny to anyone and knows the value of a dollar 😴
