I am going to attend Mercer's DPT program. Although, I had a spot with Nova SE I have chosen to go with the closer school. I look forward to seeing any other classmates soon. Good luck to anyone still going through the process. If you wanna know my stats just message me, I do know them off hand and I'm on my ipod.

did you interview? What was your opinion on their plans for accreditation. Damn, I knew I should have applied, not that I'll get in anyway.

Congrats!! I might be attending Mercer as well. I have Emory and GSU interviews coming up, so I am not making final decisions yet. I received a call from Dr. Taylor, but I have not received anything in the mail yet. Have you? Just wondering when to send the deposit in...

You should have applied! In fact, you still have time. The deadline is not here yet. I think they have interviews in February and possibly March too. I was very impressed with the school, the director and faculty, and their plans for achieving accreditation. They are looking at more than just stats. The director made that very clear. Give it a shot!

Woot- Congrats on your decision! 🙂

I actually received the phone call and about a week later a letter telling me that a 250 dollar deposit was due by Jan. 10. You may want to call ASAP to figure out the mix up. The program seemed awesome. I too had Emory and GSU interviews lined up but I interviewed at Emory last year and unfortunately the class was already full. So, my top choice was between Emory and Mercer. Mercer, however, makes more financial sense to me. They also have much smaller class size which was a huge plus for me. Another big reason for me was that Mercer doesn't share their facilities with the med students. So they spread the Anatomy/Physiology out allowing the student to better absorb the information and retain it. All in all, they are both excellent programs. I've just decided to go with Mercer. Good luck to everyone interviewing.

I thought that was the case, but I expected to receive something in writing. Oops! I am sending my check ASAP. Are you interviewing at GSU? My hardest decision is deciding between private vs. public tuition. Mercer seems perfect except for the price tag! I have an Emory interview, but I am not that enthusiastic about the school, primarily because they cram anatomy into a summer session versus Mercer and GSU who spread it out over a year.

I also had an interview for Emory but declined the offer based solely on their price-tag. I had an interview with them last year and was thoroughly impressed with their facilities and campus BUT I do not think it is worth the price. I personally did not like how it was on the same site as the undergrads and seemed to be placed in the back seat for the Med-School. I am by no means slamming Emory, they are a top notch DPT program for a reason and deserve respect. I am just saying that FOR ME it was not a good choice.

I did have an interview for GSU, but with the Mercer acceptance I went ahead and declined the interview to free up a spot for someone else. The faculty of Mercer seemed to be very committed to their student's success. That alone swayed my decision to go all in with Mercer.

Good luck in making your decision! 👍
