Can anyone give me some info....im am moving to indy and want to work on a part-time MPH...just wondering if it is a good school..etc

Just to clarify for you in case you didn't know: IU's MPH's (both Indianapolis and Bloomington housed within the School of Medicine and School of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation, respectively) are programs, not full schools of public health.

No, it's not a bad thing. Just clarifying for you that it's going to be a little smaller than a full school.

The MPH program is pretty good from what I understand. The MPH program in Indianapolis is housed under the IU School of Medicine; it will get an official School of Public Health by next year I think. I do know that the MPH program is accredited which is good. Go to www.medicine.iu.edu and click on programs then go to Public Health and I think the person you need to contact is Shawne Mathis.

Call student services of the IU School of Medicine's MPH program (Indianapolis) at 317-278-0337. I think by next year or year after next, there will be an official IU School of Public Health located in Indianapolis which this MPH program will create. From what I've been hearing, this is going to be really huge and will probably give other schools a run for their money b/c Indianapolis has so many organizations, resources, state capitol, and hospitals! 🙂 😀 I'm looking at applying to their program as well.

I had an interview with Indiana university for MPH program. I was informed that it will take 45 mins to 1 hr. however, i was interviewd for just 20mins.

I just came back on the board to read message and just saw your reply on the board. Did you interview with the IU School of Medicine MPH program in person or over the telephone? If you engaged in good dialogue with the interviewers, you should be okay. If your grades are good and gave them good reasons about why you want an MPH from the IU School of Medicine, then you should be okay.
