IU vs Louisville

Hey guys,

So I am in the midst of deciding between IUSD and UofL. I'm an Indiana resident so IU would be cheaper than Louisville for sure (about 20k difference for 1st year) but Louisville is a better school from what I saw and heard. If anyone has been in this boat before and has input on how I should make my decision or what aspects of the school should be most important to consider, I would greatly appreciate it!

Education is the same doesn't matter where you go, everyone comes out with the same degree DMD or DDS. If you go to IU you will save 80k or more in four years!

But do you think by choosing the more prestigious school it would help me get into a specialty program better than the other school?

As far as I know, specialty programs only care about your GPA during dental school.

You'll be fine either way, I know Louisville is awesome (You have no idea how hard it was for me to turn them down) but gotta think about the $$$ too

How is this a silly question? I worked hard to get an opportunity to go to dental school so I think it's perfectly normal for me to be cautious what school I pick.

You can't get in state at Louisville. Your looking at a much greater difference than 20k. I'm sorry I assumed you would realize that your better off saving 100k, but the same question gets asked over and over.
