I wish I could be there to meet you guys, but I unfortunately have National Guard drill that weekend. I hope the event goes well for all of you!

ok, hope this helps.

1st off, the dental day is put together by the 1st year students. this even is being planned by about 10 1st year students (including myself) and Dr. Kasberg. so far we have not totally finalized the schedule but i can tell you this much so far:

-it will be from 8.00-12.15 pm
-we have had registrations done in several IN schools (including highschool)
-dental would be about both the DDS and dental hyg program
-so far, we have had about 500 registered
-it will include multiple people talking about several things about IUSD (the Dean, and several professors as well as info about Finaid and scholarships)
-it will have a one student from every yr to answer your questions
-we will have some coffee, donuts
-you will be given a tour
-BEING THERE WILL IN NO WAY HELP/HURT YOUR CHANCES OF ADMISSION.

hope this has helped. please let me know if you have any questions.

Apparently the registration for this year's IU Dental Day is now closed. There are several members from our Pre-dental club that went to the site to register and they weren't able to.

Based on this year and last year's registration numbers, it doesn't surprise me. 500 people is about how many students populate the entire *school* (DDS, hygiene/assisting, AND post-doc) on an average day, and you'll be packed into a single lecture hall for the presentations. It's informative for people visiting, but a logistical nightmare for those of us who are/were responsible for putting the event on. I'm glad it's your turn this year, Ahmad. 😀
