Reposting here for the benefit of any undergrads considering IUSD in the next couple years:

Good news: At our monthly Dean's town hall meeting today, we found out that the alumni council has begun raising money to renovate our pre-clinical lab into a sim lab. Sweet! 😀

Bad news: It won't be finished for two or three years, which means this year's class certainly won't benefit from it, and next year's may or may not. D'oh! 🙁

I like how we're getting things up to speed, though. The preclinical labs here aren't terrible, but it's nice to know the facilities will be comparable to places like ASDOH in a couple years; we have a 24-seat sim lab in an annex building, but it's used for continuing education.

Nice job recruiting Bill!

Now my turn: Tufts already has these sim labs ready to go, so you dont have to wait 3 years. 😀

Good Luck

man i just checked in to my hotel in indiana.

i love this city. i hope my interview goes well here tomorrow and i'd love to live here.

very nice city!!!

Great! 😀 I'll be in another building doing PBL tomorrow morning, but I'll be around for lunch and in the afternoon. What's your schedule for the day look like? I'd love to meet you and talk some more about how the admissions process is going for you so far. PM me if you're interested!

bill,

i just pmed you. i am doing the pbl tomorrow too at the walker plaza from 11.30-4.30.

well,

the day finally came. just got back from my indiana interview and it was incredible. absolutely the best staff and the people that interviwed me (3 of them) felt like my longtime friends.

i have to say that not only everyone at the school was super nice but the whole population here seem to be the nicest people.

i wish they told me i was accepted today so i could have been moving out of CA tomorrow.

for those who are interviewing there in the near future, you have nothing to be nervous about.

good luck you all!
