It's called "small white envelope" phobia.

I know there's a word for everything in the dictionary. If I were to invent any word right now it would be a word that describes this phobia.

I also feel a little tense in the stomach when I look down on my keyboard and see the key "Alt" I think I have a phobia of that too.

🙁

And your question is?

I'm on the alternate list but now I don't know if i should be glad or not. The comments about this school are just too harsh for my tender soul.

What tender soul???

😀

I got accepted to two schools and they were both in little white envelopes.

I'm very fragile in real life. If i'm being mean to you, this is the only chance I'm able to do so. :beat:

Yes but I really wasn't attempting to be funny. I have been through emotional turmoil with this whole application process. Everytime I open an envelope its either a hold, a rejection, a hold then later hoping for an interview but turned out to be a rejection. I've been rejected left and right, put on alternate list for the 4 schools that i've interviewed at. No acceptances yet.

But you know what? there's alwasy room for improvement and I'm working on that right now hopefullyfor next year if I don't get in.

Don't worry you'll get in!!! It's only march, you have 5 more to go. Plenty of time.

Im kinda in the same boat, but I have yet to receive an interview invite, acceptance, a hold, rejection or anything!

Hopefully the month of March brings about some good news for me!

Oh, Pharm schools send out interview invites and crap like that in snail mail? I've heard from three schools, received two invites, one by phone and one by e-mail. I applied to a bunch of schools though, maybe I should go check the mail at my parents house...

Honestly, when I saw small white envelope phobia, I thought of anthrax. I'm not sure why...

No they reject you by snail mail; they invite you for interview by email and phone.

Just a few days ago I received a stack of white envelops from like over 5 schools. (luckily this was regarding financial aid that I filled out on FAFSA recently) but regardless I was scared out of my mind since I'm on the alternate list for several schools.
